Was a patient for 10+ years and he failed to diagnose my appendicitis after more than 8 visits. Went through 40 appendicitis episodes of pain in that time, about 1 every 3 months. Was absolutely unbearable. Wasn't until I went to the emergency room begging for painkillers that they ordered ct scan and came in to tell me " you still have appendicitis". I have been a patient of Dr Hammond's for 40 years. He is the most caring & compassionate doctor I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable, has never misdiagnosed any problem or illness I have ever had. Never makes me feel rushed, He shows sincere interest in his patients. Has always taken time to answer questions. Refers me to specialists when necessary. I have never heard anything but good about him & I have referred many patients to him. I highly recommend him to anyone in search of a doctor.
Dr. Hammond is a caring, kind, efficient doctor who goes out of his way to take care of his patients.. He saw me for a lesion on my nose and recommended I see a dermatologist. The dermatologist could not get me in for 6 months. I was worried that the lesion might be cancer so I called Dr. Hammond, who called the dermatologist personally, and I had an appointment the next day. It was cancer and it had to be treated right away with surgery. Thanks to Dr. Hammond I still have a nose!
