His response to an urgent call outside of office hours was so unprofessional and rude. Being a physician, I would expect his bedside manner to be kinder, more empathetic, and professional.
I was a patient of Doctor Weinstock for at least 5 years. When I tried to get my medical records sent to my new doctor (I moved to another town), I was told they couldn't be faxed - as his office lacks a 'secure fax'. Instead they would have to be sent through the mail. Ok no big deal - except they couldn't be sent without my permission in writing. Bullet points b/c 1000 character limit: -patient for 5+ years -they could not fax or email records to my new doc, had to mail them, and I had to mail a letter to give permission and instructions -after receiving letter they still didn't send them. I have been a regular patient of Dr. Weinstock for almost 20 years. He has treated me for allergies, asthma and anaphylaxis. I am currently recovering from COVID 19, but still suffering from lingering respiratory issues. Even though I had not been to his office in approx. 16 months, I turned to Dr. Weinstock in my time of crisis, as he was the last allergist I had seen, and he is very familiar with my “pre-existing condition.” I was shocked at the response. Horrible Experience. Outdated office. Was given a run around when I tried to get copies of my records from him.
I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Weinstock's office yesterday. I called yesterday morning to schedule an appointment, and was told there was an availability later that same day(!). I came in, filled out the usual paperwork, and a few minutes later was shown to his office. Dr. Weinstock sat down, listened to all my concerns, and answered all my questions. Doctor is unaware of what tests are covered within certain insurances. Sent me for tests and it ended up costing me $400. I have been to doctors for more than 20+ years and have never had a problem like this.
