I called as a new patience and the Office Manager (who has a Tagalog accent) said it was too complicated for her to accept a new patient who has a Direct Network instead of a network she prefers such as John Muir or Hill Physician Network. I have no control of who Aetna is affiliated with, but because it's too much to make 1 call to the insurance, she rather not deal with me and my kids as new patients.
