The Doctor, P.A .and Nursing Staff are at times Ill-Prepared when Meeting with Patients. Medical Staff and Especially the Doctor; whom in this case was Dr. Scialabba; should always read and Review the Patient's Medical Records FIRST, Before Wasting A Patient's Time!
After having breast cancer surgery I was released from Albany Medical Center with a hemotoma which progressively worsened. Dr.Pietrocola said this had never happened to a patient before and she was not sure how to treat it. Six weeks later, I had emergency surgery at Cleveland Clinic Hospital by Dr. Fanning.
She is a very approachable, down-to-earth physician. She is patient when explaining answers to questions and has a terrific sense of humor. She had to remove a lipoma from the back of my shoulder and she even let me see it after she had removed it!
Dr. Pietricola was kind, compassionate, approachable and experienced. I was confident in her findings and approach.
She is the best, particularly for breast cancer surgery. She is also warm and down to earth.
Saw Dr. Scialabba, found he is VERY knowledgeable in Chiari 1. He spend over an hour explaining Chiari 1, and the surgery. He even offered to contact a few of his past Chiari patients to see if they would kindly talk to me about my Chiari, and the outcome of their surgeries, as to help build my confidence. It's nice to finally find a doctor in my area who understand what we Chiarians are going thru.
