I incurred damage from radiation/chemo last year. I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis (bone infection). I spent the first part of this year on IV Pump antibiotics. I was in ICU at one point on sepsis alert. Since last year 4 doctors have worked tirelessly to keep me alive and one of them is Dr. Alvarado. From our first meeting he has been honest and frank. Writing as a retired physician. Had one encounter with him when my elderly father was admitted to the hospital and the hospitalist called Dr A as a consultant. He ordered multiple antibiotics that were totally not indicated. When I questioned that he stated "the patient is septic, and if not, will be". He further stated that EVERY patient with a bowel obstruction needs antibiotics. WRONG. He also billed for a much more comprehensive exam than he actually performed. Stay away from him.

So rude, disrespectful, unprofessional. He has absolutely the worst bed side mannor. He should not be a doctor.
