12/30 edit: I ended up talking to a surgeon who ACTUALLY listened and explained where my pain is/was likely from. I decided to do surgery to fix the 5 year old hernia and also to help treat my reflux (Nissen fundoplication). He said that my hernia appeared to be even larger than what was on the endoscopy. So it wasn't all in my head. Had I waited like this doctor wanted me to I would still be in pain and also still need surgery. Listen to your body first! I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, I did not feel cared for or respected during my visit with Dr Fayez. He showed little to no empathy, and I left the appointment feeling like just another number rather than a person who needed help. It was clear that there was a lack of interest in truly understanding or addressing my concerns.
