Cruel and unprofessional!
I had a truly distressing experience with Dr Farideh Absalan and her secretary, Sam. I went to see Dr Absalan for a possible ADHD diagnosis and spent the session recounting traumatic life experiences. She ended the appointment by telling me I was "very judgmental" and needed to "reflect on that"—a completely inappropriate comment from a psychiatrist after a first session. Was referred to see for a review from my GP when I became pregnant, Dr Absalan made assumptions and judgements about me based on my diagnosis of BPD, including stating to me that my pregnancy was unplanned, in which it was planned. The medication I was on Lexapro was safe, however they wanted to be sure and all she did was write a script for sertraline, what a waste of $400. She said my pregnancy was an act for me to have someone who will never leave me. She told me children aren’t always sunshine and rainbows. I
