Like others, I woke up with the wrong surgeries done on me…now I can’t have kids. When asked why, she made up all these reasons, but when I checked my health fund those procedures had been paid for at my pre-surgery appointment. Worst pain of my life. Worst experience of my life. Zero empathy.
I cannot recommend Dr Fariba highly enough. My recent hysterectomy at Ashford Hospital has been life-changing for the better. Dr Fariba listened to my concerns and symptoms and quickly came up with several options, giving me the choice of what to do. I felt completely confident and safe in her care. She was incredibly caring and reassuring in the operating theatre, and her kindness continued during my post-op visit. I saw Fariba when I was 21 years old. She diagnosed my endometriosis and performed an ablation. After my symptoms didn’t get resolved she told me to ‘have a glass of wine, some panadol and relax’ related to my dyspareunia. Also said that my diet must be a problem. 14 years on and I still regard it the worst medical gaslighting I’ve ever experienced. Dr Fariba supported me after complications from a previous surgery which resulted with an open wound and ongoing pain. She offered PRP treatment, and after 10 months, I finally had hope again. Grateful for her expertise and the outcome.
I wish I could give a more negative rating. My friend had an absolutely disappointing and distressing appointment with Dr. Fariba . She was left without any support or guidance and was not given the opportunity to ask any questions. The appointment lasted only 10 minutes, and she was charged $350 AUD. She showed zero empathy and made my friend feel like her pain was not a big deal and that she was just a number on her list.
