Wonderful and caring doctor
Dr. Sum did an upper endoscopy for me. She is very efficient, caring, and professional. She explained everything very well. I highly recommend her to anyone with GI difficulties.
If you can get Dr. Sum to move away from her laptop and engage in patient eye contact, then I suppose she would have a good bedside manner. I was generally unable to answer any question she asked as she did not wait for an answer before moving on to next question. Her office staff is incompetent. I had to get another GI referral to provide answers and second opinion from my procedures. Dr. Sum did not contact me; rather, her staff provided the results. She's amazing and so extremely caring. It's been hard and it's taken a long time to find a doctor who really cares and she does. She wants to help and she wants to find a way to make you feel better. She takes her time with you and makes sure you know what she honestly thinks. I really love her. I finally feel heard!
