I had gastric bypass in 2004. Dr. Rehnke was great then and he is the same caring doctor today! Some of these reviews are flat out incorrect!
He will operate on you as if you are nothing more than a lab experiment and then he will have to operate again to try and fail to correct the botched surgery he performed and then he will it tremendous pressure on you to let him TRY again and each time you must agree to stay a full 21 day hospital stay. He nearly killed me and he has killed other patients with much less risky procedures. Please stop this dangerous, incompetent man before he takes another innocent life. . He is destroying lives. I was just reviewing my Bayfront chart test results randomly tonight for other reasons, and I came across a pathology test result that showed I had appendix cancer. He never told me. Not even at the follow up visit. Do not trust this dr. He shouldn’t be practicing at all. Shame on him.
He's kinda, caring & very knowledgable
He saved my life. I was 5'2. 298 Lbs, With his assistance went down to 147. Now with another dr Jessee whom I basically see her assistant. I am 204. Taking a toll on my back. I wish I could just get his advice. But I understand. I wish him well
I had laproscopic banding in 2005. I lost over 150 lbs and am very healthy. I don't doubt things happen. Dr's are not GOD.!!! The other Dr's just got lucky. Any issues with hospitals are not his fault where people were left. I love Dr Rehnke he saved my life. I am sorry for whomever suffered. Like I said they are not God. The KILLING DOCTOR Dr Rehnke has killed, permanently maimed and disfigured more patients in the US than any other doctor still licensed ABC News did a documentary about him and the medical system that allows him him to remain license and not imprisoned He has retired now Retirement was the most life saving act he performed as a doctor
If I could do no stars I would. Do not go to this man if you want a good outcome. He needs to stop practicing.

Literally by some black bags of garbage? Where I found myself? On the ground floor of St. Anthony's hospital? In St. Petersburg, Florida! Then? Having to scream! In order for someone to attend to me?
