My last visit to the SBMC ER in 2016 was very good. Quickly admitted and scanned within an hour, and results delivered within 4 hours for possible PE. Despite all of the Best Of Hospital rankings my visit today to SBMC was terrible. Pathetic. Admitted quickly but took 3 hours for CT and nearly 5 hours for follow up. Poor communication left hand and right hand uncoordinated. Staff were great but shamefully under supported by leadership. Understaffed given the volume of patients. The worst experience I ever had at this hospital. This guy comes flying in flying out. Not listening to a word you say, foot halfway out the door , no bedside manner at all and no concerns for a patients pain and trying to figure it out. I guess he’s new. Trying to impress his shadow.
