Have a life long issue with tremors and have seen neurologists for decades. Dr. Pappert is a straight shooter, gave me more of a specific diagnosis which after some of my own research looks dead on and had an additional course of treatment to try. Happy to have technical skill and knowledge of his caliber in town.
He has been treating my husband, I assume with reasonable technical competence. However, my husband was told to do some specialized physical therapy for Parkinson's patients. We have called the doctor's office repeatedly to get the referral as to where he should go and have yet to reach anyone or get any information (after weeks of trying). We get nothing but ringing, a busy signal, or a message to leave a message, which is never returned. This is a doctor's office? They can bill readily enough, but when it comes to dealing ... read more
I took my mom to see Dr Pappert and we loved his service. Wait was over two hours but we were told in advance that the wait was long for the afternoon appointments. Dr. Took good time with my mom, explained her condition carefully and told her about her options. We were very impressed. We came from the RGV just to see him and he did make a difference. My mom is happy and she is excited about starting her new treatment. Nurses were also kind and knowledgeable.
I called 4 times and left a message each time. The first time I called, I actually talked to someone who said they would call me back. They never returned my phone call.
Dr. Papert does not understand how to communicate well with patients. My wife had severe fibromyalgia and mild rheumatoid arthritis and developed tremors. Dr. Papert before even doing an exam looked at her list of medications and said the medications are causing your problems. He told my wife she was a complainer and her symptoms were not bad enough to treat before he examined her. He had my wife in tears. I would not recommend him to anyone.
He was very thorough, asked a lot of questions, and listened to everything that my mother had to say. Even though she is 81, he didn't treat her like she was just a body taking up space.
Dr. Pappert was very patient with my 91 year old dad. He listened and answered all question and spent quality time with my father.
