Went to see Dr Mayfield for VA Compensation apt. She was kind and caring. She allowed me time to respond and ensured I had a thorough interview.
She was my evaluator for a mental health claim I had through the VA. She gave me no service connection & put in the notes “Veteran has evidence of major life stressor while in service, but responded well to Post-Deployment mental health assessment. No service-connection/rating to be awarded”. That is in complete contrast of the DSM5 which is what all mental health is based off of, including VA P&C ratings. Just plain evil. I had an extremely negative experience with this provider during my C&P VA evaluation. I felt dismissed and not listened to, and the evaluation report didn’t accurately reflect what I shared. I later appealed and was approved after seeing a different doctor, which was a huge relief. I hope future evaluations are not handled by her.
She's just a truly awful human being? There's no other words for it. She got very upset over a $2.17 difference in what estimated online vs what she was charged at the counter at the airport, which can greatly very. She raised her voice and got borderline physically violent. Over $2.17?! My friends, you could take a walk in the park and get better therapy than anything Dr Mayfield could attempt to offer for $2.17 It's pathetic any one could get that angry over that amount
She's an absolute abhorrent person. I want to raise awareness about anybody considering seeking her help She caused me to lose my job over $2 discrepancy from what her receipt said online vs the actual airport taxes and fees. She screamed at me and humiliated me. She caused me to cry. I even offered her the option to completely cancel and rebook her rental for a cheaper rate and she said "WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO" despite the fact there was nothing I could do to remove the cost on my end.
