Dr. Charles Newell was HORRIBLE! I visited him on October 24, 2024 for the second time during my lunch time, it was three months from the first visit. Besides the time I spent on the exam, I waiting only for him over half hour. Until I asked the staff my time was running out, they let me to see him. I said it took me such long time to see you every time. He said that's just half hour, I always took one more or two hours to see other doctors. I said that's your problem. I was going blind. Lost 50% of sight in one eye (became black) and the other eye was blurry. Dr. Ashmore got me into surgery the next morning and saved my eyesight. It was a terrifying experience. I am so glad Dr. Ashmore was in Tallahassee and acted so quickly and professionally.

I found Dr. Ashmore to be very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. She explained my upcoming procedure in detail and answered all questions. I was very anxious about having eye surgery, but left her office feeling at ease. I feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Ashmore, and I trust her medical expertise implicitly.

My first appointment started out badly. I was angry after sitting in the waiting room as a black curtain was growing in my field of vision. Less than a month later multiple breaks and tears were found and successfully treated. The physician's comments were reassuring, “debris in the vitreous can be normal following laser and should settle over time”. At my next scheduled post-op I was immediately hospitalized for an emergency vitrectomy with silicon oil inserted to stabilize the detachment.
