Dr. Elson Thomas saved my father's life. Literally! Our dad had fallen and had a broken femur. At 96, Methodist's ortho teams basically signed off saying he was to old and high risk and suggested Hospice. We were devastated. And then appeared Dr. Thomas. Dr. Thomas first treated me as a nephrology consult during my admission to Methodist Hospital in March 2025. My husband and I were so impressed with his compassion, knowledge and bedside manner, that I booked an outpatient appointment with him in hopes he would accept me as my nephrologist of record. I tried but had to cancel several initial appointments with him do to other health problems. However, his assistant Angelica continued to call trying to reschedule ASAP. I am Very thankful to Dr Thomas. He has always been available when an emergency arises. He takes the time needed and is very understanding. He explains things well. Dr Thomas is one of those rare doctors that come few and far between if you’re lucky.... he is great at his profession, combined with the way he truly cares, he’s a rare find. As you can see, I highly recommend him.
