I'm usually fine with doctors with no bedside manners but this guy is the worst I've ever seen. I only see him because I'm tired of shopping around and he at least prescribed my meds. He tells me it is my fault for having chronic migraines. He also says he can't treat my migraines since I have anxiety (which will never go away? and it's not affecting my life at all?). I would not recommend this physician. He is rude and condescending and overall very unkind. The man does not listen to his patients and makes you feel horrible for asking questions as if you are an inconvenience. One course to treat headaches and if it doesn’t work too bad. I was told to come for a visit and had the man tell me I messed his schedule up. Horrible experience. Horrible.
I have been seeing dr Schulman for almost 2 years now for headaches. He would take the time to explain things and options to deal with my headaches. I started getting botox and even though it is not a pleasant e experience to go through, he would take the time and make sure I am feeling ok. Overall very pleased with dr Schulman and the office personnel. They are friendly and professional
I stopped going finally because although he was willing to keep trying other drugs to use daily to control the migraines, he did not listen when i reported adverse affects from the medicines. one actually caused me to become depressed, which is not my nature, and from then on he would ask : so how is the depression. that had completely resolved when the offending drug was withdrawn and my system had a few weeks to recover. great manner but at some point he stopped really listening
Very thorough. Always cautious. Found rare condition by ordering a test that could have been life-saving. Great support staff that remembers details.
Dr. Schulman is not what I would call warm and fuzzy, but he is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. He really takes into account what other things are going on with your body and could be contributing factors...a more holistic view. He helped me resolve my headache issues after another neurologist could not. I would highly recommend him to anyone with the caveat that he is direct and no-nonsense.
I used to see Dr. Schulman years ago. He agreed to see me again after I was referred to him by one of his colleagues. Dr. Schulman wasn't that good to begin with, but there just aren't that many doctors who treat migraines. He left me hanging for over a week, then REFUSED to see me. I was left feeling unimportant. He doesn't care about helping patients who ready need help.
