This doctor is completely full of herself. I was disrespected for advocating for myself. I sought help because I had a bad reaction to a medication she prescribed me, and I also had no improvement in my symptoms and needed an actual treatment plan. I scheduled back in December 2024 for the first available appointment in July 2025. Today I got a text that they want WAY more than my usual copay paid prior to the visit. Over an hour of calling various phone numbers to find out it's because they moved to a new "hospital-based setting that is out-patient" one month ago. Patients are now charged a facility fee in addition to a doctor's fee. I waited EIGHT months to find this out 1 week prior to the appointment. This should be illegal. Dr. Stein is the best Gastro doctor I’ve ever seen. She is treating me for CVS.
Dr. Stein and her group at RWJ were a real life nightmare! I was in the hospital for 1 month in the summer of 2023. I went because i was told she could help put me on TPN care. I was underweight for 2 and half years so I went with the intent to get TPN. Her and her team bullshitted me the entire time pushing feeding tubes on me that wasn’t working.
