The automated appointment reminder system is unreliable. We received one appointment reminder a couple of months ago, but a recent one generated no call, spam record, or voicemail, even though the office said a voicemail had been left. I’m from out of town, got a splinter in the bottom of my foot, literally googled urgent care in Taos. My friend who is local has been to other urgent care facilities in town and was very apprehensive, but the reviews were good so we went for it. Im going to keep this short. I visited the clinic as a walk-in patient to evaluate symptoms that were similar to a cold but unfamiliar and persistent. After a throat culture and visual observations, the PA diagnosed me having virus type that should resolve on its own, not an infection needing medication. I appreciate having access to this local healthcare resource on short notice, and the explanations the PA provided.
