This Dr has abandoned her patients who rely on insurance for medical care. She only accepts wealthy patients who can afford to pay out of pocket. I thought I misunderstood the message they left about this after years of care under her, but her desk staff confirmed that if you can not afford to pay out of pocket, she has no interest in treating you.
Stopped taking all forms of insurance. Now charges $300 a well woman visit. Wants roughly $200 to transfer my wife’s records to a new doctor….
Dr Huelskoetter is a good doctor, HOWEVER, she recently decided it would be a good idea to quit taking any form of insurance (as of 6/16/25). This will definitely hinder a lot of her patients. I cannot afford to pay $300 out of pocket for an annual exam (as quoted in her notification letter). Perhaps this is now a practice for the rich. So be advised.
Only after seeing Dr. Huelskoetter and her NP Saskia was I able to maintain a pregnancy, due to the tests they ran. Both Dr. Huelskoetter and her entire staff have been nothing but warm, friendly and very accommodating to me. Will stay with her throughout all my pregnancies to come!!
