My pet needed urgent care tonight, but I was told they couldn't help because we hadn't been to this specific clinic within the last year. That was very upsetting during an emergency. Not everyone uses the same vet regularly, but that doesn't mean they care any less about their pets. When an animal needs emergency care, they should be able to get help regardless of when/where they were last seen!!
