Some years back I went to Dr. Rico in hopes that he'd be able to treat some complex hormone production problems better. The endocrinologist before him didn't want to seem to do more than prescribe testosterone and thyroid replacement. I knew there were some other hormonal issues present because of my symptoms. When I first saw Dr. Rico my testosterone was still low even on testosterone replacement. The best endocrinologist I have ever known. Took time and explained everything to me. Taught me about my disease and things I can do to help control it. Got me on meds that improved the quality of my life. Forever grateful.
I've tried 3 Endocrinologists before a friend recommended Dr. Rico. I must drive to see him as I live in Indiana. I will never regret my decision to go to Dr. Rico. After years of trying, he finally has my thyroid numbers to where they should be. He listens to his patients and takes time to explain what is happening within my body. He has been very accommodating and the communication through the portal is answered overnight. Dr. Rico has great bedside manner and cares about his patients. He has been great! Getting an appointment does take a while since he's not in Terre Haute but once or twice a month. He is a great doctor!
