I have been seeing Dr Bunas for years and he is always thorough. He is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable.
Horrible!! I had a raised scar on my chest (straight line from a basal cell removal). The scar was taking its time shrinking to a flat line on my skin. Dr. Bunas gave me a steroid shot at the site of the scar (10 units) to help reduce the scar bump. During that appt. a cute little medical sales rep came to visit and he was giddy, giving her inappropriate time and attention while I sat there waiting for him to finalize my treatment! Within a couple of days, the scar went from a raised line to a sunken wide scar on my chest - ... read more
Absolutely wonderful, caring doctor. Once when a new assistant caused me severe pain and then was snippy about it he fired her on the spot!
Before this last year I would have recommended him with the highest ratings. He no longer cares, Instead of being honest that he does not care anymore he blames it on this new company silver Falls whom does not care for anything but the bottom line. Maeyens states he did this for the community, in the future do us no more favors. Just retire. I feel he has no medical energy or compassion any longer, Just looking for the that paycheck. I had been a patient for 20 plus years, Will not be back
Before I found Dr. Maeyens I had been living with HS for 20 years with no diagnosis. I was having the lesions cut and drained and had major surgery on my left underarm, then another 10 years with a name, but no cure. I found Dr. Maeyen when I moved to OR. He and his assistant had been reading about research that had finally started. They applied what they had been researching and I've blessedly been in remission for 15 years now. I highly recommend Dr. Maeyen!
My first encounter was a referral by my primary care physician for removal of a cancer on my nose. I was sent to Dr, Maeyens because of his having both the ability and the equipment to preform a Mohs micrographic surgery and his ability as a plastic surgeon to repair the resulting damage. The cancer was completely removed, there is no scar, and the cancer has not recurred after 5+ years.
This is a careless doctor. My family member received bad care, which resulted in one ER visit and two visits to other dermatologists for follow up care. He care results in many severe wounds often with little or no wound care or follow up. He has a poor reputation among other dermatologists and one clinic reported to me they get a lot of his poorly cared for patients.
Expensive and didn't resolve my skin issue. I went to another doctor and he resolved it for me. The receptionist is barely friendly and snooty. They both seem tired and ready to retire, and seems overdue.
They saved my life in 2009. Got eczema really bad when my father was dying of cancer and we were building a home. Other dermatologists closer were 'not taking new patients', and 'rashes' were too time consuming. I had gone to a naturopath on the coast and ended up with MRSA!! The Dr here told me it was a spider bite. I can't tell you how wonderful they were and expedient in diagnosing and treating and always listened and responded and got me to what I needed. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!
