I can’t say having a root canal done is delightful. But if you have to have one, I would highly recommend Dr. Dwight P. Stanley. I had never had a root canal before. I’m 72 years old and had always heard scary stories of how painful root canals were. So I was a bit anxious about it. Everyone at his office was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Dr Stanley performed a molar root canal on me. I found him and his staff to be extremely professional, super explanations for everything that was about to happen, totally pain-free. without incident, very clean and comfortable office, overall a fantastic experience. I was referred to a root canal specialist by a dentist after several flare ups and a course of antibiotics. Since we live in rural Maine it took several weeks before I could see dr Stanley. By then the tooth in question has calmed down. The doctor refused to do a root canal on what he called was “asymptomatic” tooth despite a long history of this tooth causing problems. I ended up with a tooth abscess over the weekend before Thanksgiving five weeks later, in acute pain and with a stronger course of antibiotics. The practice ... read more
