Dr. Sencakova is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She listened carefully to my concerns and took the time to explain her recommendations. What impressed me most was her ability to explain the neurology of migraines and various treatment options in a clear, non-overwhelming way. I left the appointment feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the new plan for managing my migraines.
While I like Dr. Sencakova personally, her clinic is very poorly run. I waited 5 months for an appointment because my insurance required that I be seen by a headache specialist. I checked in early and the receptionist scanned my insurance card. She failed to inform the doctor's nurse that I was there. After waiting 40 minutes, I checked again at the front desk. Dr. Sencakova has no bedside manner. She told me she didn't have hope that the Botox injections that the Mayo Clinic recommended for me would work. She seemed to know nothing of my medical history, yet she was happy to give her unsolicited opinion.
Dr Sencakova is always very friendly and open to my questions and concerns. She is aware of my current situations and past concerns and makes me feel that she cares. I feel confident with her recommendations and would highly recommend her. Also when I have to speak with her nurse she is also very helpful and gets back with me in a timely fashion. It is very comforting to me to have such a provider and staff to be partnering with.
