Dr. McInnins did both of my hips (BHR) and both knees. He saved my active lifestyle and is a caring and skilled professional. His office staff is also the best.
Dr. McInnis was great at first but when I started asking questions his attitude changed. This happend after my knee replacement. He did not want to manage my pain medication but failed to make the necessary referral to my primary after he stated that he would. All of his office staff but one have been great. However the other office member is rude, condescending, bossy and questioned every thing I did. I even complained to the office manager but it did not change things.
When I got my appt. to get cortisone shots in my knees, I was told to use the P.A. I told the receptionist that I wanted to see the dr. She told me the wait would be a lot longer. I was in a LOT of pain, but I agreed. But when I got to my appt., I was told it was at a diff. office, which was a mistake. The nurse said the P.A. would be in & I told her I was supposed to see the dr. She said the dr. never gives shots. He gave me them 6 ago, but she said I was mistaken. I was not. The staff was bad.
So I go to see this physician for pain in my knee. It all started well, then he realized I had fibromalgia and his whole attitude changed. He began to tell me the my x-ray showed only minor arthritis and the MRI would probably be the same. He compared my fibromalgia to a paraplegic- no cure.Told me I would be one of the 10% of people who would be unhappy with my surgery. My MRI showed severe arthritis! He refused to look at the previous arthroscopy done on my knee. Not competent, lack of caring
Dr. McInnis is very experienced in total joint replacements, especially the complicated ones. After my knee replacement, complicated by six previous surgeries including a reconstruction, I was bicycling within a week, and for the seven years after surgery I continue to ride, ski, hike, and do other athletic activities without pain. I would go to no other nor recommend no other Orthopedist for total joint replacements.
