Went to the ER at St. Charles in June and was seen by this "doctor" who had the heavy smell of beer on her breath. What a wreck/reckless individual. This lady is a liability and there should be some behavior oversight.
Employing Dr. Doni Rivas in the emergency department is the wisest decision any hospital could ever make, since it makes use of her competency in medical skill but doesn't require her to interact with most people beyond a surface level; and also forces her to adhere to the simple guidance of the Hippocratic Oath to "first, do no harm." I think of Dr. Rivas at this time every year, when my brother died under her care at Long Island Community Hospital. Security brought me into the ER where I witnessed her making the most heartless and disrespectful comment about his death to other medical staff. It was unconscionable that a doctor would have such little regard for human life as to make jokes at the expense of a patient's loss of life. This woman is devoid of empathy and I regret not making an official report of her psychopathic and highly unethical behavior.
