I think of Dr. Rivas at this time every year, when my brother died under her care at Long Island Community Hospital. Security brought me into the ER where I witnessed her making the most heartless and disrespectful comment about his death to other medical staff. It was unconscionable that a doctor would have such little regard for human life as to make jokes at the expense of a patient's loss of life. This woman is devoid of empathy and I regret not making an official report of her psychopathic and highly unethical behavior.
Went to the ER at St. Charles in June and was seen by this "doctor" who had the heavy smell of beer on her breath. What a wreck/reckless individual.
Seen Dr Rivas many times. She has taken exceptional care of me and reassured me along the way every time. I never felt worried or questioned her judgment when in her care. She maintains professionalism and empathy with great bedside manner. Wouldn’t want to see anyone else for medical/ emergency care after having her as a provider.
