In 2003 I was admitted to Roanoke Memorial with a pancreatic meltdown. The Dr on duty was Dr. Donald Steinweg. Never having met me before I felt as if I had known him all my life. Never had I met a kinder man. For many weeks I was on life support and a ventilator. To make a long story short it was anticipated that I would not recover but with his love, compassion and knowledge I did and he care for me for the next 13 years.
