I saw the previous review and have to disagree completely. I have been seeing Dr. Small for about 6 months now. She is kind and considerate and always checking throughout the session to make sure everything is comfortable - both with temperature, coverings, and needle placement. She always asks if there is anything you need to be more comfortable and makes sure each needle is placed so it is not hurting you. She is kind, gentle and professional. At first pleasant, but once on her table, exposed, trusting, and vulnerable, Dixie was rough, uncaring, and caused significant pain both during (and for days after my session with her). I've had dozens of acupuncture treatments from a multitude of compassionate and attentive acupuncturists over several decades. Dixie was strangely forceful with each needle insertion, and uncaring when I vocalized the pain. She was curt, brazen, and oddly dismissive. Her lack of compassion was jolting.
