Dr Diamond Hira is the best General Practitioner I have ever been to with a variety of health issues. He was very caring and thorough. He is the sharpest diagnostician I have ever met. I wish I still lived where he practices.
AVOID ! The doctor is nothing more than a GP ! Medicare will cover travel expenses to a real specialist as Townsville does not have any. Will just prescribe nasal spray and dermeze. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY.
Very knowledgeable but terrible bedside manner and handling of my allergic child a few years back, he put the fear of Doctors and mistrust into after performing very uncomfortable and upsetting investigations of her nasal passages with no explanation of what was about to happen. I vowed never to return but now find there are no local immunologists and I need a local one in a hurry for my recently developed severe sulphite allergy (diagnosed by Dr Andrew Merry in the Sunshine Coast). Great experience with Dr Diamond regarding my allergies. I had a suspicion on what I was allergic to already but suffered hayfever constantly. Self referred to Dr Diamond who had already managed my 3 nieces and nephews allergies so I had a personal recommendation for him. I found him to be very informative, not rushing me out and happy to answer lots of questions I had.
Treated with smug condescension. Suggested cold showers for the pain. Don't know how that's going to help when out and about or at work. Then said it's caused by anxiety and need to "push yourself". Not impressed.
