Very skilled ,knowledgeable and professional.Derek removed a piece of steel from my eye and saved it. I’m grateful for that.Clean office ,a cool staff and he has the credentials too.
Being scared to go to a doctor has been a thing. I can tell you that after meeting Dr. Lauritzen , and having him listen to the things that I was scared to talk,about, I feel relieved. I would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Lauritzen performed routine cataract surgery on my left eye in August 2020. Prior to surgery my vision was 20/40. At one point during the surgery, the pain was intense. A nurse held my feet so that I would not move, and Dr. Lauritzen continued with the procedure. It was traumatizing. After surgery, my vision was foggy. Caring, well-trained, competent physician. Dr. Lauritzen took the time to explain what was happening with my vision and began treatment on my first visit.
I would not recommend Dr. Lauritzen. He did cataract surgery before treating my severe optical nerve damage he should have seen and treated prior. I now have to have surgery on my eye.
Dr. Lauritzen truly cares about his patients. He was 100% honest about my eye problems and explained the options. I have always felt that I could trust his judgment and its application to my situation. Dr. Lauritzen stands out because of his knowledge and integrity.
