He is a great doctor! He's thorough, kind, and he listens very well. He has experience too which means a lot to me. If I have to wait a little while, I just figure he's busy with someone else that may need an extra few minutes. I'm pretty sure he's popular and has a lot of patients too. I am grateful to have found him.
I've been going to Doc McCreary for about 4 years now. He is very thorough with his patience, which is why the wait times are as long as they are. He's not like those doctors who spend 3 minutes in the exam room with you and then run off to do something else. He has always listened to my concerns, does not fat shame me or contribute my weight to my conditions like many others have, and offers to provide solutions. Doc McCreary also remembers details about my life, which I find very personable.
I went for a followup care and placed in the examination room. I was sitting there 40 minutes. I went to the receptionist to find out how long it will be before I would see the Doctor and was told that they did not know how long it would be. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. McCreary has been my physician since my previous doctor, John Dunlop, retired from the office. True, there can be a long wait to get in to see him, however; he is very compassionate, funny and thorough. I have a complicated medical situation with multiple issues and he keeps on top of each of them and their iteractions - I would highly recommend Dr. McCreary to anyone looking for a "family doctor"
Although there may be a longer wait than you would like, due to Dr. McCreary's office scheduling, he is a very compassionate doctor. He spends the time with you that you need and doesn't "rush" through his exams. He is someone who cares about his patients and his "care" reflects that.
I ask Dr. McCreary “What kind of diet would you recommend?” and he shouted “I thought you wanted to treat this aggressively.” I had a terrible infection as a result of a biopsy and he shouted “He is a good doctor” The woman at the counter ask “What was going on in there?” I am afraid to ask him any questions and ended up going to an Acupuncturist who helped me with the overwhelming pain that Doctor McCreary refused to acknowledge. His display of disrespect is unacceptable.
While Dr. McCreary himself is a good physician, the office is poorly managed. It is not at all unusual with an appointment to STILL wait 1 to 3 hours to see the doctor. This has been the case for a number of years and shows no sign of improvement. Consequently, if your time has any value I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this office for care.
