Shapiro is rude, condescending, and negligent. She failed to inform me of a dangerous radiological test result and also administered an essential test incorrectly (which now needs to be redone). She gaslighted me into thinking my symptoms were "all in my head" but I eventually wound up in the emergency room and admitted for a serious medical condition. I am so lucky to have switched doctors and hospitals. Now my illness is finally being cared for.
As a person who has struggled to find a doctor who is understanding, listens and is patient, I know how difficult it is to choose a PCP. Dr. Shapiro is smart - she diagnosed and treated a condition that 2 other medical professionals failed to - and she is attentive and flexible, willing to listen to concerns and feedback. After 20 years of searching for a good doctor, I feel lucky to have found her and her practice.
She is rude, condescending and arrogant The worst experience , I have ever encountered with a clinician. She doesn’t listen to the patient. Questioned me as if other clinicians were not credible. I have never given a review on a clinician, but her attitude was so disturbing, that as both a healthcare professional and patient advocate ,I felt obligated to comment on her.
Mis-diagnosed thyroid, prescribed medication that caused radical hair loss; callous, uncaring, arrogant. She should be sued and prevented from practicing.
She is dismissive and makes you feel like you are wasting her time. She fails to follow up about visits and doesn’t provide adequet information about diagnoses even when asked. Should not be practicing.
I would absolutely not recommend her. She is dismissive, rude, and has frequently caused me issues in the past with misdiagnosing things or not believing me when I say I am experiencing something.
I couldn't believe the review just before this one. Dr. Shapiro is the opposite of everything said except the bit about the laptop, which she chats about to me ruefully. It's a real cost for modern medicine, she agrees.
Were the waiting room chairs comfortable at this provider's office? Extremely comfortable; I could have fallen asleep Would you recommend this internist to others? I Already Have Does the provider's staff treat you well? Yes Did this provider answer all of your questions? Every question I had was answered thoroughly Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit? Yes
Dr. Shapiro is abrupt, rude, and condescending. She doesn't listen; she doesn't answer questions. She looks at her laptop and not at you. She misdiagnoses problems and refuses to admit mistakes or warn you about possible side effects of taking the all-too-many drugs she prescribes. She never solves the problem; she requires multiple return visits, and endless tests and follow-up. She is by far the WORST doctor I've ever encountered. She does not smile, is not warm or caring, and makes you feel like she's doing you a favor by... read more
