Dr. Ganter has been my doctor for 34 years, and has been the doctor for several members of my family. She delivered my great neice 23 years ago and I can't say enough good things about her and her abilities. She is personable, funny, professional and unflappable in a crisis. I drive five hours to see her yearly and trust her and her decisions. Her staff is always helpful and calls are always returned in a timely manner. She's THE BEST.
I unexpectedly ended up giving birth at Lutheran hospital and thus, unexpectedly had Dr. Ganter attend the birth. Her bedside manner leaves something to be desired, she seems cold, uncomfortable and very impersonal. She did not entertain the idea of any of my birthing wishes, she broke my water without consent, she pulled my foley bulb while still inflated (ouch!) and although I asked not to be coached while pushing (as this was my 3rd birth and I felt confident in my own experience), she continued to yell at me to “bear dow... read more
