I have been seeing Dr. Hamby for over 20 years and highly recommend her. She is patient, kind, and truly compassionate, and always takes the time to listen and provide thoughtful care. Her office is very organized and efficient, so visits are smooth and I am usually in and out quickly without ever feeling rushed. Everyone on the team is warm and professional. I am very grateful for the consistent, high quality care I have received over the years.

Dr. Hamby was the only GYN who treated me with Estrogen replacement therapy. However, she will not prescribe testosterone, because it requires testing and she doesn't do that. I went to several doctors, including an endocrinologist, in the metro Detroit area and no one recognized that my symptoms were due to estrogen deficiency. Had a very negative experience with Dr. Hamby at Eastside Gynecology. I have had good experiences in the past with different doctors but Dr. Hamby is rude, cuts you off, doesn't take you seriously and acted like I was stupid. She told me everyone is premenopausal from the time you are born instead of listening to my symptoms and taking them seriously. I have been going to these physicians for almost 40 yrs. I have had very good experiences with all the doctors especially Dr. Somerset. Since she retired I have been going to Dr. Hamby. Have never been happy with her. She is rude and rushed. The last visit was the worst. She was rude. Did an endometrial biopsy and did not explain why. It was soooo painful I almost passed out.
