I had conjunctivitis in both eyes. Dr. Walters prescribed antibiotic eye drops. He ran a rapid strep test and sent one away for confirmation. All seemed reasonable and responsible actions. Most impressive was his very specific steps on how to administer the drops properly and to wash all towels, etc., thoroughly. I was anxious to get out of there and on my way but he seemed to want to chat. Poor docs can’t please everyone!

Exposed to strep through my 4 year old. Went to IHA Urgent care at Dominoes Farm where I was assigned to Dr. Walter. I presented with a fever and a very, red, sore throat. Dr. Walter informed me that my rapid test came back negative and dismissed my symptoms entirely. He informed me that only 1 in 3 people exposed to Strep A actually get it and seemed shocked that I assumed I would be treated for Strep. Dr. Walter became defensive and rude when I asked him if he would wear gloves before continuing to examine the patient(his reply, “you saw me wash my hands”) This is a basic procedure that he failed to follow; his actions and response were both embarrassing and unnecessary.
