My OBGYN of over 5 years passed away and was a colleague of Dr. Vexler. As someone with history of medical racism, abuse, and assault I was determined to not just keep the doctor that was assigned to me. It’s been constant check-ins, consent, slower paced visits, and care. I don’t doubt some ppl may have had bad experiences with him. But I just wanted to add my experience to the conversation. Been seeing Dr. Vexler for over 20 years, great with patients and women of all ages. Very comfortable and happy with my professional care all these years.
Wouldn’t recommend him as an OB/GYN My visit felt rushed! He didn’t address my concerns at all I’ll keep my current doctor
I went to him for birth control, Nexplanon to be exact. He was condescending about my tattoos, imposing his opinions about my tattoos (telling me he doesn’t like them on anyone) and it had nothing to do with him inserting the birth control on my arm. Also his nurse told me I must have a “high pain tolerance” for having multiple tattoos and getting birth control.
