I’m extremely disappointed with this practice. I was diagnosed with RA by Dr. Michel and placed on a medication that I took for several months until it began causing stomach issues. At my follow-up appointment in January 2026, he decided to switch me to a new medication that required insurance approval. Dr. Michel is my new rheumatologist and he is very dedicated and willing to help you get your arthritis issues under control. He is very professional, friendly, and he listens to me. He doesn't get in a hurry and he has helped me to understand my body and the pain I endure.
Dr. Michel was highly recommended by two different individuals, both of which are current patients of his. Excited and hopeful for answers for my (soon to be) 16 year old son, upon calling I was told their office does not see children. While I understand not all practices see kids, recommendations would have been very helpful. My son has established care with a Rheumatologist in Durham but I was hoping for a second opinion by Dr. Michel. So discouraging
