He told me I have a heart murmur. I am a retired critical care cardiac nurse, so I listend myself and didnt hear it. So I went to my primary and they didnt hear it either. I wondered why he would tell me that and remembered that he listened to me heart sounds over my shirt, and only in one location. This is the incorrect way to listen to heart sounds.

Have just to town having dealt with top cardiologists from Stanford and the bay area. Found Dr. Prothro as very knowledgable of the latest. He takes his time to teach you what is going on and why he is prescribing a protocol. He has a great bedside manner and has helped me reduce my blood pressure dramatically thru his protocol, truly amazing.

I have been a patient of Dr Prothros for over 10 years. He walks out to the waiting room and greets his patients, takes time with patients, asks if you have any questions, then walks the patient out. His office has all the equipment needed for testing also.

Dr. Prothro is the first doctor to take my heart issues seriously. The first doctor to not write me off as an anxiety problem. He listens to me and takes the time to really think about my symtoms and what the next steps should be. While we haven't quite figured out what's wrong yet, I fully trust Dr. Prothro will help me figure it out.

I have been a happy patient of Dr. Prothro for at least 6 years. he is kind, courteous and will listen intently to all you have to say. He is very knowledgeable in all phases of his specialties as well as how to treat a patient. He has operated on me 3 times starting with a defribulator installation without a complaint. He introduced methods to help me with my CHF, COPD, HBP and circulation issues with success. All in all I know that I am living a more productive and longer life under his care.

Started seeing Dr. Prothro in November for heart murmurs. Still have no clue what is wrong with me and my heart is really acting up. I'm starting to have anxiety about it and feeling like I need to go to the emergency room. No help at all.
