I had a triple A aortic dissection. It was an emergency operation and Dr. Folsom saved my life. Survival for a 65 year old man with a Triple A is about 2%. Anyway, I had very complicated surgery and he was spectacular. I would recommend him to anyone. The only thing I would say is that aftercare is missing for aortic patients. Dr. Folsom did my double bypass 16+years ago and I am still going strong. He is not only a great surgeon but by showing kindness, compassion and understanding he is also a good human being.
Dr. Folsom performed my bi-pass surgery in early 1997. He advised I should expect to get at least 7-10 years. It has now been 22 years and counting! Could not ask for better care. Highly recommend for both quality of care, and especially bedside manner!
FROM THE FIRST TIME I MET HIM I KNEW HE WAS THE SURGEON THAT COULD CORRECT MY HEART PROBLEM. HIS FOLLOW-UP WAS OUTSTANDING AND VERY COMFORTING. HE DID IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
