My denture broke. I went to Dr. Hanna to get an estimate for a new one . Without asking what I was there for, they took panaramic x ray and then sat me down. One of my implants had broken (a mini implant that attaches to a denture). They took it out which involved using a mini ratchet ( a minute). The estimate was $14000.00 and the bill for that 5 minutes in the chair was $400.00 that had to be paid up front. Mind you, he is in my network. Caveat emptor: To the buyer beware. Within the scope of medicine and dentistry, there are sub specialties. Dentists and medical doctors go on to train for years in specialties like cardiology, general surgery, oral surgery periodontics and prosthodontics. Oral surgeons and periodontics train for years in how to place Implants and problem solve difficult cases and anatomical problems. As I stated in the beginning be wary of Dentists, like Dr David Hanna who has no such training, but yet holds himself out as an implantologist.... read more
