I was first met by a medical assistant who seemed friendly and warm, asked all the usual questions, and listened intently to my replies. When she left the room, I heard the doctor discussing my case with her, and sending her back to ask two more simple questions. It seemed odd, until the doctor came in with two observers. She never acknowledged them, or explained why they were there. Dr LaFirgia is very thorough in his exam; found small basal cell and removed. Also found larger cancer and sent me to UPenn for excision. Thankfully, after both excisions and clear edges, the the 2 surgical areas have remained cancer free!
Doctor Esguerra is the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a dermatologist. He explains things very clearly and does not rush you out of his office. If you want a Doctor that is kind and gentle look no further Entire staff is very cordial and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about Bay Dermatology. My wife would say the same. I highly recommend Dr. Richard Miller. He is very thorough. He listens. He is extremely knowledable. And, he wants the best for his patients.
Dr. Miller would be my go-to derm if I could get an appointment in a timely manner but that is not the case anymore. I think he is very kind and has a great way about him. Unfortunately, over the years he has opened many different locations in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and spreads himself thinly among all of them making him inaccessible. Now I only go to him for my yearly skin cancer checkups. I see a different derm named Heller when I need timely dermatology care now.
First visit was today. 10AM appt, in my car leaving at 10:25. Doctor Esguerra spent plenty of time with me too. Completely explained everything he was doing as he did it. Addressed the two issues I came in to address fully. Gave treatment plans and alternatives if needed later. Explained meds given. Did not just give me the normal course of treatment meds because case (rosecea) did not call for oral meds yet. Can add later if needed. Did not try and sell me other treatments. GREAT Doctor! Danielle is AMAZING. She went above and beyond for me. We've been dealing with a a few local pharmacies/multiple speciality pharmacies/a few mail order pharmacies. Danielle was a trooper and worked tirelessly on trying to get this procedure covered--after a grueling 8 months. I can't thank her enough!
His warm and caring sprit made me relax he was very gentle and quick I highly recommend him
