Appalling experience. This doctor’s bedside manner is non-existent, and his rudeness is beyond anything I’ve encountered in healthcare. While he may be intelligent, he is absolutely unfit for patient interaction due to his complete lack of basic people skills. He barged into the room, slapped the prescription on the counter without a word, and walked right back out like I was a waste of his time. No explanation, no care, just a dismissive gesture. Excellent. Dr Wood has been my primary physician for 30+ years. I've experienced many medical issues and he has always diligently worked to resolve them.
My mom's insurance assigned her to Dr. Wood. We did not have a choice at that time she has acute on chronic asthma and other health issues. Our first visit was awful I wanted to get up and take my. Mom out of there within the first 5 minutes! He is pompous condescending and treated my mom like she was 2 years old!!! The staff was ok not the greatest but they were somewhat acceptable. When my mom had her second visit it was emergent he would not see her. To the ED we go!! 3rd visit same thing
being the daughter of the patient if you like quirky, odd, I guess Dr. Wood is the physician for you. My parent has been going to him for some time now.
I've been seeing Dr. Wood on and off (when they didn't accept my Insurance) for about 8 years. Compared to many of the doctors I have seen over the years, he is a breath of fresh air in the way he treats his patients. He answers my questions, never seems rushed, and doesn't prescribe unnecessary medications or tests. He is interesting, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about his patients. I recommended him to my best friend who is also going to him now also.
