I was seen by this doctor only once. Subsequent visits I was seen by Physicians assistant. I was very disappointed in being dismissed in this way. In addition because my last visit was about 1 year ago she refused to renew my subscription. Such a despicable way to run healthcare business. Holding my health over my head by her refusal is both heartless and unprofessional.
Dr. Shalom saved my life. I have been dealing with years and years of undiagnosed IC. I went about 20 years with chronic pain day in and out. I wrote an extensive report of symptoms prior to my appt. When she saw me, she spoke about all my symptoms, validated my pain, my feelings, and was practically listening to me and finishing my sentences in the best way ever. As a patient of Dr. Shalom, I cannot praise her enough for both her exceptional surgical skill and her genuine compassion. After consulting with other doctors, I found Dr. Shalom to be the one who truly took the time to explain my options clearly and develop a thoughtful treatment plan. Her expertise is evident—not only in her patient care but also in her role as a mentor to residents and fellows. I wholeheartedly recommend her to friends and colleagues—she is simply the best!
Horrible care. I had a prolapse repair performed by this doctor. She seemed caring at the beginning, but after surgery I had constant pain. She sends in her helpers after surgery. You will not see this doctor in your follow ups. After a few visits, I was told that the pain I was feeling was not from her surgery. Those were her last words to me and then walked out of the room.
