I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mendelsohn and his team. He accurately assessed my condition, concerns and dangers in regards to the back surgery I needed to have. I’m now post-op and have strength back in my leg !! He’s freaking legend as far as I’m concerned and I’m grateful for having him as my surgeon.
I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Mendelsohn and his team. From my first online apt, to in person meeting I was pleasantly surprised! He took time to explain and listen to my questions, responding with patience and clarity. The day of surgery him and his team fostered a safe space through their check ins, use of humor (which I love and appreciate). After 6 months of waiting, I had a virtual appointment with him. Unfortunately, I missed the phone call due to poor reception; that's on me. I tried calling his office immediately to apologize and see what my options were but was told that "I missed my appointment and wasted his time, and he will never see me again." They said, "he is very firm on this." Even his staff sounded scared of him. He needs to calm down from his high horse. As a UBC graduate and prof, I feel bad that he is carrying UBC's name on his title.
