He just doesn’t care
Apparently he is a skilled surgeon. But when it became clear I was not a candidate for surgery, he was callous, evasive and condescending. Would not admit that a drug he prescribed caused my condition to worsen, even though it clearly did. That he is considered the best in Connecticut demonstrates the dismal state of gyn care. If you think you have endometriosis go see a real endo specialist in New York or Boston.
Amazing surgeon! No scars, patient doctor, addresses all concerns and questions, great sense of humor!
My experience with Dr. Luciano was exceptional. Not only was he extremely professional but also guided me through my surgery with great care and concern. Although I have never had a surgical procedure prior to the one he performed (fibroid removal), he and his staff made me feel comforted and secure throughout the whole procedure. I am so happy Dr. Luciano was able to help me and restore my quality of life. Thank you Dr. Luciano and the entire staff at UCONN Health facility in Farmington!
I saw Dr. Luciano for infertility for 4 yrs. We did 9 cycles of IUI, and had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy to remove severe endometriosis - most doctors would have had to cut me open, but he did it via laparoscopy, leaving no scars, and SIGNIFICANT improvement in symptoms. We did IVF once - although our embryos were not great, it WORKED! I had complications during my pregnancy (early labor, was on bed rest) but our daughter was born full term and healthy. He & his staff were ALWAYS wonderful to us.
I went to him for an ongoing problem. He was nice at first but after the 3rd time of seeing him. He treated me like crap. Told me I was fat. I would ask him questions and he would basically look at me like I was dumb. He would be at his desk and seemed disinterested when I was talking to him. Doing something else like going through his desk or on his computer. One time he said to me...Go home and take care of your little lady (my daughter)...One way of saying get out of my office.
Dr. Luciano was always very sweet and informative. I liked his calming personality and he always explained things when I had questions and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable. I had surgery with him twice for different things and he made sure to check on me to make sure I wasn't nervous. I have recommended him to friends who are experiencing the same problems.
