I have had knee problems starting in my early 20’s and I am in my mid 50’s now. Having had many knee surgeries, I am not a fan of knee surgeries to say the least. I have had a total knee replacement in both knees within the last five months. One in January and the other in April. Currently in am walking pain free with only slight stiffness. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I am an RN and have a good understanding of the medical community. I'm a 52 year old male. I didn't think I'd need a hip replacement at such a young age, but I'm very active (golf, hike, run, racquetball, & pickleball) and I have a family history of osteoarthritis. Well, I feel God actually brought me to Dr Galat. I met a woman in church who had had 2 knee replacements by Dr Galat. She raved about his sensitive and professional manner and such a wonderful outcome. The next day I called Mayo Clinic to see if I could move up my surgery date & was told I had to wait 6 months longer due to an Orthopaedic MD shortage.
