Dr. Dan has been of great help to me the past nearly 5 years. I believe he adjusts his style correctly based on what he sees as the needs of the client. In my case, he has always encouraged me to come to my own conclusions independently on problems and traumas I’ve had, while still pointing me in the right direction. He’s very accepting and nonjudgmental. I’ve referred multiple family members and friends to him and they all love him !
We went to Dr. Dan for a relationship issue/conflict we were having. I would recommend asking and clarifying what type of therapy he uses (CBT etc.) what exactly it is ,and how it would help. We were told “talk therapy” and We should have pressed him on what that meant and how it would help. We talked . After 8 ( insurance covered) sessions of dredging up very painful events and feelings it ended. We did not receive any feedback, insight, “homework”, help or guidance.
