I have been seeing Dr Thistlewaite for several years. When I switched to PsyCare, it was a total game changer. He takes his time, he’s thorough and he legitimately cares about his patients.
Dr. T is great, and he sees his patients ON TIME; as a result, you don't have time to discuss problems with him and he'll refer you for counseling. I actually do understand that, however, and like that he keeps on track with appt. times. His staff, however, would only get 1 star from me. They either don't return calls, or have no clue how to do their job, or forget to look into an issue (insurance, payments made, etc.) for you. When I call, I hope to get Heather because she gets stuff done.
I've been through several psychiatrists, those who try different meds every two weeks and those who don't listen. Dr. Dan is a great doctor. He listens, he responds to your questions with, he will ask if you have any other questions, he will explain what he believes is going on, why he is prescribing a med, what the med does. He is very easy to talk to, doesn't rush med changes or dosage increases like a lot of psychiatrists. Been going to him for 10 years. Lucky I found him.
Dr. Dan is always on time with my appointments. I never have to wait. He listens to me and is very supportive and caring. I have gone to him for years and trust him greatly.
My daughter was his patient. She attempted suicide in October 2015. She ended up cutting her throat and dying on December 17, 2015. H How could this doctor not realize how sick she was. She needed to be committed. I don't recommend him to anyone.
