I have had 2 surgeries by Dr. Kairys... by far one of the best doctors in Maine. He hits every tic; he listens, great personality, thoughtful, caring, attentive to needs and will refer to other doctors in the area for issues he is not able to help with. He does make recommendations for what may be issues that a patient is having and will go to great lengths and attentiveness to find out what they are. A couple of weeks ago I was admitted to MCMH through the emergency room for an internal bleed. Dr. Kairys took care of me and I found him to be competent and very attentive and easy to talk to. He suspected bleeding ulcers which he confirmed via an endoscopy. I remained in the intensive care unit under his care for about four days and received several blood transfusions and am now home recovering. Steer clear of this ignorant doctor who sits in the room chatting it up and laughing while patients wait for OVER AN HOUR in the exam room! I actually just up and left because I knew I should not go to anyone at the Ellsworth hospital to begin with with their foul reputation. Yesterday just made it abundantly clear that I will not visit ANY doctors, offices, etc associated with that horrible hospital!
