I’ve been navigating health concerns over the past 3+ years, seeing countless doctors including a couple different cardiologists. Each cardiologist had given me the same work up (EKG, Echo, monitor…) and despite my symptoms, concluded everything was normal, telling me “You’re just anxious” or “Sometimes women just walk around with low blood pressure” or “You could just try getting used to the feeling of a high heart rate”. I would not recommend Dr. Thaik for people looking for a doctor who listens and cares for their concerns. Dr. Thaik frequently interrupted in my appointment as a new patient. She stopped our ~ 30 min appointment to answer her phone and check her texts, multitasked with other patients health records and interrupted me when I talked about my symptoms to provide her commentary. DO NOT RECOMMEND. My mother just had a visit with her today and I found Dr. Thaik to be very belittling in her meetings. I understand not to sugar coat but to dismiss my mom as if she’s not aware of her condition was frustrating. It’s almost as if Dr. Thaik already had an impression of my mom and did not want to listen to her. Dr. Thaik kept saying my moms A1C is 9.1 so her sugar is 200 when we tried telling her that her that her A1C isn’t 9.1 it’s her HEMOGLOBIN!!!!! I couldn’t be happier with the thorough care I received from Dr Thaik. She is collaborative, involves me in decisions and makes sure I am aware of and understand the reasons for these choices. She is so thorough and works after hours to make sure I’m cared for. She displays the highest degree of excellence and follow through. Highly recommended.
